About the Business
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Geoff Colwill and I am the proprietor of Colwills Garage. Having been passionate about cars and mechanics from a young age I have always been fascinated by the challenges of problem solving within the motor industry. I began my career in the motor trade in 1992, when I began an apprenticeship at College in conjunction with working at a Vauxhall Main Dealership. I passed my college course and was awarded 'Student of the Year' for my work in the motor vehicle department.
Having completed 2 years at a main dealership, I was then head hunted to work for a local independent garage, which has been in the village of Hartland for nearly 80 years. This move enabled me to develop my knowledge on all types of motor vehicles rather than concentrate on one make. In 1998, the owner decided to retire and I was given the opportunity to buy the garage, which at the time was located in the centre of the village.
