SVG owner Andy Johnston and Mick Barter competed in the 25th Pirelli Classic Marathon. This event was organised by HERO Events and the Classic Rally Association. The car used was Andys 1967 Toyota 1600cc Corona prepared by SVG This car also successfully completed the 2008 Marathon. The rally started in Ypres Belgium and finished in Cortina d'Ampres Italy over 6 days through Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, and crossing lake Lucerne, finally over the Dolomites into Cortina.
