1st 4 Garage Services, a Dagenham local servicing and MOT was started in 2000 by Mr. James Holland, the director of 1st 4 Garage Service Ltd and former Teacher of car maintenance at London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and the Faircross annexe in Hurstbourne Gardens in Barking. The history behind the start-up is his perception of miss use of MOT requirements that made them un-roadworthy. The money that had been paid to repair these vehicles was quite clearly "day light robbery" and in no time at all, being asked to put these vehicles in good repair, friends and recommendations gave him very little time for relaxation in his free time, so, making up his mind to leave his employment and set up his own garage was inevitable.
