About the Business
Mike Thorne, owner of MJT Cars completed his apprenticeship at Moorland Motors and then joined the army where he worked on all military vehicles from Land Rovers to Armored Tanks. Mike then worked for Ford; he worked up to master technician and then went to Honda for 18 months.
Mike eventually rented a very small unit on Hoo Hill Industrial Estate and started MJT Cars. It wasn't long before MJT Cars expanded with a bigger unit on Redbank Road, Bispham. After 18 months expansion was needed again and MJT Cars moved to a big unit, TVR Buildings on Bristol Ave (The old TVR Buildings). MJT Cars now comprises of two garages and Mike has a talented team of mechanics specialising in makes and models.
