Family Business Since 1965, the director and owner Steve Chinn took over from his father 15 years ago and has continued the family tradition of running an efficient and friendly garage for all yourservicing needs. Based in Bridgwater, Somerset our MOT test centre caters for an ever-growing client base and prides itself on the highest standards of car servicing and repair at very competitive prices.
Service Tune is a primarily a mobile service, meaning we can visit you & your car at home or your place of work (whichever is more convenient for you) at a time during the day to suit you. If the workcannot be carried out at your place of choice (and the car is drivable), we will either return it to our workshop or arrange a further date for the work to be carried out.
Paul Liell took over the mechanical side of the business in 1992, he worked as a 'one man band' until 1995. With an ever increasing workload he employed his first apprentice Andy, who is still part ofthe Fairwater team today, just one testament to the longevity of the business. As the company grew in size a move to larger premises was necessary. In 2000 Paul moved to the current site in Priorswood and now employs 6 technicians who collectively have over 90 years' experience.

We are a small family run business located within 5 minutes walk of Taunton town centre offering a friendly helpful professional and affordable service from our workshop which is centrally located andis open Monday to Friday 7am to 5.30pm, and Saturday 8.30am to 12.30pm. We can collect and deliver you car from your work or home or supply you with a loan vehicle (conditions apply) if required. Alternatively you can leave the car for servicing while you go into town and shop.

The story of the Company now spans three generations. In 1925 Mr H. N. Hickley started a battery service in Billet Street, Taunton. At about the same time Mr L. W. G. Meikle started a similar servicein a lock up garage behind the Crown and Sceptre Inn on Station Road, Taunton. In 1932 the businesses merged with Mr Meikle joining H. N. Hickley as a partner. Including the partners, there were just four staff.
